Coastal Digestive Health
Coastal Digestive Health

Angela is a valuable addition to the Coastal Digestive Health team working as a practice nurse.

Angela graduated from a Diploma of Nursing on the Sunshine Coast in 2014, afterward she took on the opportunity to expand her nursing capabilities in a post-graduate program with the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital. During the program she worked predominantly on the general wards and in the operating suites. This was when she discovered her passion for general gastroenterology and endoscopy nursing. She continues to work in endoscopy which she has done for the past five years.

Angela brings to Coastal Digestive Heath a friendly face, coupled with a wealth of knowledge in endoscopy and general nursing.

Rotary's Sensory Play Area project
Caloundra Rotary's Sensory Play Area project at Currimundi is designed to improve the play experience for children, particularly those on the autism spectrum who often have heightened sensory issues.  The key advantage of a sensory area is that all children regardless of ability can benefit from the experience.

The project is proudly supported by Sunshine Coast Council’s grants program.

It is a major project so if you wish to help develop this unique facility for the children of the Sunshine Coast, online donations are welcomed at trybooking.com/BGPXQ.

Sponsorship enquiries are also welcome - please use the contact form on this page.

Our last meeting
We were out and about early this morning at Ben Bennett Park to meet Governor Darryl Iseppi of our Rotary District 9600 who - judging by his shirt - is headed to Hawaii for Rotary's International Convention in June.

DG Darryl briefed us on the fact that polio is now restricted to three small regions.  He was educated on the club's association with Ben Bennett Park by Mark, and Roger joined the class to hear about the history and nature of the park.

A Holiday to Remember
Bernie Long from Gympie and family were holidaying at Golden Beach when he decided that he would support the Rotary Club of Caloundra.  Never expecting to win the $1000.00 prize money he bought some Melbourne Cup Trifecta tickets from Chris Milligan.

Gordon Hamilton, Deborah Taylor, Bernie Long (our lucky trifecta winner), President Chris Rees and Gerry Swan had a coffee and a bit of a natter at The Bean Shack, Golden Beach where Bernie picked up his winnings.  He was a bit overwhelmed by the attention and hoped to see us all around town on his next holiday.
