  • And another meeting. with Deborah  at the Chilli Cafe ( do we see a pattern here?)
  • Three hours with George H the RSL historian, and Bob the Chaplain.
Back to the Changeover and Renae described the French nautical themes, including a request from the floor for cancan girls.

Renae called for Director’s Reports
  • Mark noted in two weeks time we will have the DG and partner attending
  • Roger noted there was no secret word in the Our Last Meeting report. So sorry to all those who spent many hours combing through. Unfortunately the supply of champagne at Roger’s place is strictly limited, however, watch this space
  • Sergeant Richard ripped into us, including scandal around a reported earth tremor at Mount Tambourine
Thanks Bernie for tracking down Terry, he did his own diary entry and slipped it in for seven in the evening, and he had been working at The WindanSea Clubhouse.

It’s a good intro for the Community Clubhouse – Terry noted that Roger was also involved.

The clubhouse is intended for community use and will include pother surf related clubs, such as the Caloundra Malibu club, Indigenous Surfers, Moffateers, as well as the Turtle Conservation volunteers and the two schools either side. It was approved by Council, but three days before the appeal date, there was a a referral to the Planning and Environment court which they and Council defended. Now its well on its way to completion.
