She came to Caloundra last year and has two children aged 12 and 13 at Caloundra Primary/High schools. Father in law from Toowoomba/farm in Pottsville
She has a background in hospitality/tourism events

Ian introduced Jill and Dorothy - he knows Jill through Probus and Caloundra Bodyworks. Jill came to Caloundra in 1980 – she has a banking background and loves working in the community
 
The QCWA is one of seven state and territory organisations
The CWA is the largest rural advocacy group in Australia
It is the QCWA. Centenary this year
They advocate to government for women/health issues
Were formed from the women’s land Army
They do a large range of projects from restrooms, maternal and child welfare facilities, housekeeping service, seaside cottages (Caloundra had two)They have student hostels, with one in Nambour
They often followed the railways
 
Caloundra CWA was established in 1937
They are in their second home - the original was on the IGA site, but in 1999 they move to 17 Kalinga Street
Council funded the build, but they repaid it in five years
It is now hired out
 
They fund five Bursaries at Caloundra High School
They have 38 members, and they constitute one 11th of the Sunshine Coast
they do lunches, sewing, craft, Scone Time, Coastal Caring Clown, kidney research, Wishlist, ANZAC ceremonies and hall maintenance
 
They are on Facebook/Instagram, and there is a QCWA website
 
They celebrate 100 years of advocacy this year
