Ben Bennett was our founding President
He ran cinemas in Caloundra - The Strand, and the Loch at Moffat Beach
He returned from WW2 wanting to help the Caloundra community
He had two terms as President of the Rotary Club of Caloundra, and two as District Governor
He was friends with Sir Clem Renouf from The Rotary Club of Nambour, and Rotary International President from 1978–79
Ben was interested in native tree planting, and recommended that Ben Bennett Park be established
Roger gave an overview of the ecology of Ben Bennett Park
Deborah informed us that President Jim's wife Yvonne was in hospital with a possible heart condition
I didn't realize how bad of a driver I was until my sat nav said, "In 400 feet, do a slight right, stop, and let me out.”
