20/09/22 Rotary meeting was held at STEPS and our guest speaker was Noël Whittaker who presented us with the 20 Commandments of wealth for retirees and left us two copies of his book “Retirement made simple”
20/09/22 Sue Robinson attended the commemorative day of Peace at the Caloundra Private School before the Peace pole installed by our Club last year.
20/09/22 Jim Lombard and Deborah Taylor attended a meeting at the RSL to discuss our possible involvement to the upgrade of the CENTAUR Memorial on Kings Beach and for organising a ceremony for the 80th year of the sinking of the ship in 1943
27/09/22 Jim & Deborah approached Genta Tsukimory to contact our sister Club in Japan for possible financial contribution to a new Memorial for the Centaur event to be held in May next year.
28/09/22 Jim and Frank Lunt held a private meeting re: above matter to explore the possibility of Calpac's cooperation.
30/09/22 Meeting at Sue's place to prepare and staple over 2000 trifecta tickets for our fund raising event on Melbourne Cup day. Thanks to Renee for organising the pizza's
04/10/22 Deborah and Jim had a meeting with Jason Hunt to explore the possibility of obtaining Grant monies for the Centaur project. Jason provided useful advise.
10/10/22 I met with Andrew Wallace under pouring rain  in Kings Beach to discuss possible Grant monies for the Centaur project. Further discussions to take place in his office.
10/10/22 Deborah and Jim attended a workshop at the CWA Hall on the subject of how to successfully apply for Grants. Workshop organised by Jason Hunt and followed with a free sausage sizzle.
11/10/22 The committee decided to hold a fund raising event and Luncheon on Melbourne Cup day at Chill 89 Restaurant. Deborah and Renee will co-ordinate this event. We all look forward to get together one again and have a fun day.
