Past President and past member of our club, Jim Lombard introduced President Alex and gave an overview about how the Men's Shed worked under the auspices of our club prior to it's accreditation as “The Men's Shed”.
President Alex Howell from The Men's Shed was our guest speaker last Tuesday. Will Street, Men Shed member, accompanied Alex. Alex gave us an overview of the Men's Shed to date. They are planning some upgrades for the shed. Alex spoke about the demographic of members and mentioned that some members just pop in for a cup of tea and a chat or some learn new hobbies. If you have never been into making anything out of wood, you can start small and learn to sand and item first and work your way up.
