Our Last Meeting - DG Sue Mulraney - District Governor’s Visit

Sergeant Richard welcomed guests DG Sue and John Mulraney, and AG Bernie Wilson

 

He introduced Chair for the day Elaine, who was all prepared to do an excellent presentation about artificial insemination, but we all decided that since the District Governor was here, we should probably let her talk instead

We paused to remember Merv Patterson. He had been a member of the Rotary Club of Caloundra for 37 1/2 years.

Mark had prepared the photos we now see on the screen – great memories of Past President and Paul Harris fellow +1

He was the driving force behind the creation of RYDA

Caloundra State High School was the first RYDA program.

We can truly say that Merv “saved lives”

Merv epitomised "Service above Self"

He was a man of "wisdom"

 

James visited Merv & Anne in their new unit.

Merv had said he "wanted to achieve that before I go"

His funeral will be in the Roman Catholic church – a healing mass.

Thought for the day

As we lose ourselves in the service of others, we need to remember our own lives and happiness

 

The funeral will be on the 10th at 11 am
